Ms. Forootan serves as counsel for employees, employers, and individuals in employment litigation in cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, equal pay, wrongful termination, wage and hour, whistleblowing, and other related employment issues. She serves as counsel on cases throughout California.
Ms. Forootan conducts independent workplace investigations into claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, whistleblowing, insubordination, and other personnel issues.
Ms. Forootan serves as a legal consultant for cases active in litigation matters as well as pre-litigation situations on employment-related issues such as wage and hour compliance, severance negotiations, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation. She also drafts employment policies and prepare employee handbooks.
Ms. Forootan trains management and non-management employees on employment-related issues such as harassment, discrimination, and retaliation prevention, and best practices regarding compliance with California employment laws.
Ms. Forootan serves an expert witness for both plaintiff and defense on human resources and employment-related issues such as workplace investigations, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation prevention, complaint procedures, interactive process and accommodation issues, performance evaluations, disciplinary action decisions, and employee terminations.
